Europe - 1938

From Ages of Conflict

Europe - 1938 is a 112,350 pixel Scenario made using the Europe map. It was originally created in v2.0.0, making it the oldest Europe map in the game. As of the v3.1.3 update, the scenario was completely remade by Spacewolf9 and slightly edited before release.

History[edit | edit source]

On February 17th 2023, the Steam version for Ages of Conflict early access (2.0.0) was released. With it, came 4 default scenarios. One of them being Europe - 1938. The Europe map it used was different from the Europe map in the demo version. Notably being larger and lacking the Caspian sea but featured all of the Nordics. 1938 had 33 total nations as it lacked microstates such as San Marino and Andorra.

Later during December of 2023, 1938 would see a severe overhaul in colors in v3.0.3. As originally the community was not fond of the colors chosen originally, and people often make palette remakes as a result. This was also the update that introduced 2 new Europe maps, making 1938 not the only Europe map in the game.

In v3.1.3, all Europe maps, including 1938, were completely overhauled and remade by users Spacewolf9 and Zertic during March of 2024. This is the present map used in the scenarios option in the main menu, alongside 8 others. It has a total of 38 nations and 74 cities and consists of 112,350 pixels total.
