Basic Terrain is the default terrain having no special effects and consists normally of most Land. Terrain can be edited either in the map creator or God mode, with a slider from 1-25 Pixels of any terrain, However Terrain with Cities cannot be changed unless the city is removed, other similar features are listed as All terrain must be built first on Basic land and cannot be placed on water, Crossings can only be placed on water, Any terrain can be placed with Basic land, cities cannot be placed on water (Obviously) or mountains.
